( The Farm )
Our
working sheep farm has a variety of friendly animals, our young
& young at heart guests, are all very welcome to join in
at the morning feeding time ..
The
baby lambs usually have a bottle between March and December
although Meg, our "grown up" pet lamb, still comes to the
gate each morning for a bottle with Moli, Mali & Morus ~ this
year's bottle fed lambs
Morning
feeding time ....
The
morning feeding time consists of simply feeding the pet animals in
the pet field and collecting the eggs and letting ther ducks out of
their pen on to the pond ....this is usually done after breakfast
each morning at around 9.30 when guests who want to join in with the
feeding meet up at the farmhouse - and everyone
is welcome to join in if they fancy
You
may like to bring your wellies with you if the weather is damp and
you want to go into the pet's field where the grass could be wet ....
Ducks
You
are welcome to let the ducks out of their pen in the mornings, they
love to dive into the mill pond - near the entrance to the farm -
for their daily treat of crusts and bread
Shetland
Ponies
There
are
5 miniature shetland ponies ~ they're usually in the pet field by
the farmhouse
Idris,
Merlin,Yogi Bear, Blondie & Cuddles all enjoy being fussed over
and are always ready for a carrot or crust
Older
children are welcome to groom & brush them ~ they can also be
taken out for a walk on a lead, either along our farm drive or in
the field

Friendly
Ryeland lambs
We
have ryeland coloured lambs that look like little miniature polar
bears (unless they've just been shorn !) they will eat out of your
hands and are so cute ~they are also in the pet's field with Meg.the
other sheep and the shetlands

Chickens
The
chicken eggs can be collected from the nests each morning after breakfast
, they can also be fed and watered if you fancy this !
Friendly
sheepdogs
We
have 3 friendly sheepdogs that like to be fussed over & taken
for walks - Spot ,Sam & Gel are quite likely to come & say
hello through the patiowindows - they are the friendliest dogs and
have a lovely & obedient temperament
Farm
activities such as sheep shearing, silage making etc. can be seen
during specific times in the season
Tomen-Y-Mur,
Roman Site
Tomen-y-Mur
is an interesting Roman site & is situated near the farm (about
a mile away), it has a splendid panoramic view and guests are welcome
to visit, it's a lovely walk from the farm(about 30 minutes) which
can be extended to a couple of hours walk to the highest peak there,
which will give you unrivalled views of the whole of the North Wales
mountains range including Mount Snowdon.

Walks
& Local attractions
There
are several walks direct from the farm and many walking and hiking
books in each suite
There
are numerous guide books on Local walks in each suite and in the farmhouse
lounge - you are very welcome to borrow these

mls from the farm there's a local beauty spot of wooded and lakeside
walks which should not be missed by nature lovers. - guide leaflet
will be in each suite.
